“Going To The House”

We enjoyed having this little buddy join us for Bible time today…

A little shorter than usual Bible time, but long enough to get in his “two cents worth”. While talking briefly about how the Christian life is likened to that of a soldier, we confirmed the fact that soldiers fight….to which he responded –

“And soldiers go to their house?”

Ummmm…..yessss….soldiers go to their house….

It wasn’t until a little later in the day that I realized the great spiritual truth in his little question –

Soldiers fight….soldiers finish….soldiers “go to the house”….

Amen, little buddy…amen….

II Timothy 4:6-8 “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
