We are a mother & daughter who simply desire to follow God’s will for our lives!  We are thankful for the opportunities that the Lord has given us to serve Him in our home as well as our local church…an independent, fundamental Baptist church in central NC. We are excited about this newest venture of “blogging”, and hope you will join us on our journey!

Rachel – I was raised in a Christian home where we went to church “every time the doors were open”. At eight years of age, after being under Holy Ghost conviction for a while, I remember the night I went to my mother who led me to the Lord. I will never forget one verse she showed me after I trusted Christ – “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. I John 5:13  I can still remember my mom emphasizing the word “know”.  I am so very glad I KNOW I am saved!

For as long as I can remember, all I ever wanted to be was “just a wife and mother”. God has truly given me the desires of my heart as I have had the privilege to serve my husband and our six children for over thirty-two years now!  “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalm 113:9   In 1990, we began our homeschooling journey and I am so thankful to God for this opportunity to, above all, teach His Word to the children He has blessed us with.  More recently, God has blessed us with three more children-in-law and last, but certainly not least, eight lil’ buddies and one lil’ princess!  This wife/momma/nanna is blessed beyond measure!

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”  Ephesians 3:20,21

Bethany – When I was four years old, I remember making a profession of faith but, at the age of eight, I started having doubts about my salvation. After being under conviction for quite some time, I heard a message on a Sunday morning that once again pointed to my need for salvation. It wasn’t until that night, when we got home from church, that I finally went and told Momma that I needed to be saved. Kneeling beside my parent’s bed, I received Christ as my Saviour!

I love my family! I have been so blessed to have been raised in a good Christian home with godly parents. God is so good! I can truly say that I have a goodly heritage! I am the fifth of six children and aunt to the eight cutest nephews and most adorable niece!

I love music! I enjoy playing the piano, violin and a little bit of mandolin. Several years ago, the Lord allowed me to begin arranging and composing as well. I thank God for all the opportunities He has given me. “That they may know that this is thy hand, that thou, LORD, hast done it.”  Psalm 109:27

Some of my other interests are reading, writing, photography, baking and spending time with my family.
