Don’t Leave…CLEAVE!
What a great reminder in this one verse!
“He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand CLAVE unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day;” II Samuel 23:10
Speaking of Eleazar (one of David’s mighty men), as he fought in the battle, his hand grew weary but instead of giving up, his hand “clave unto the sword” and the LORD gave the victory! Amen!
Reminds me of Galatians 6:9 – “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
When battle-weary, don’t leave…CLEAVE! Victory will come!
“But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.” Joshua 23:8
