✅Dream Accomplished!
In my senior year of high school, I took a creative writing class that awakened my love for writing. ✍🏻
Fast forward to July, 2017 – I had the opportunity to attend a Christian Writer’s Workshop at the National Sword of the Lord Conference in Walkertown, NC.
This workshop, taught by Pastor Jerry Ross, was very informative as well as inspiring! I bought his book, “Did God Put a Book Inside of You?” and left that workshop READY to complete a booklet I had been working on!
However, the Lord had different plans and instead of the booklet going to print, I found myself enrolled in God’s School of Adversity.
Fast forward to December 31, 2022 – after almost 5 1/2 years, God gave me the green light to complete my writings and the booklet I intended to have printed back in 2017 was now a book!
Last month, at the FAITHful Ladies Daycation, I had the privilege to talk with Mrs. Ross and shared with her a little bit of this story.
I am THANKFUL for those the Lord has used in my life to INSPIRE me to go forward with the dreams that GOD has put in my heart. ❤️
This morning, I was reading once again of Joseph’s story in the book of Genesis and the following phrase stood out to me:
“So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God”
Genesis 45:8 KJV
I really like Matthew Henry’s statement on this verse:
“They [Joseph’s brothers] designed, by selling him into Egypt, to defeat his dreams, but God thereby designed to accomplish them.” 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Think about that, my friend! The adversity that we experience in this Christian life may be designed by the enemy to discourage and defeat us – BUT GOD desires to use it to ACCOMPLISH the dreams He has placed in our hearts!!!
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 KJV
