In My Distress

Two kings in distress – King Ahaz and King David – and two completely opposite responses:

In OUR times of suffering, what is our immediate reaction? How would we fill in the blank?
“In my distress I _________”

Is our response like that of the wicked King Ahaz or King David – the man after God’s own heart?
The response of King Ahaz brought him ruin.
The response of King David brought him deliverance.

The way we respond to suffering is completely our choice. Choose deliverance. Choose God.
