Go Again

A little transparency here…
As I was having my quiet time with the Lord a few weeks ago, I found myself having a “Peter attitude” like what we read in the verses below:

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In response to his Saviour’s instructions to let down the nets, Peter first “informed Jesus” (as if He didn’t already know) that they had already been fishing all night with no results.

A few weeks ago, I caught myself having the EXACT same attitude as Peter. As I prayed about a certain situation, the Lord seemed to impress upon my heart to do something…something I’d already done. My first response was:
“Lord, I’ve already done that – with no results”

Immediately, the Holy Spirit brought to my mind the words, “Go again” (1 Kings 18:43)

My simple thought for this morning?
Go again.

Have you been praying about a situation for a long time now?
Go again. Go to God in prayer one more time. And if you don’t get an answer, go again…and again…and again. Go until you get an answer.

Has God led you to do something yet you see no results?
Go again. Be obedient today. And if you don’t see any change, go again…and again…and again. Be obedient…be faithful and leave the results to Him.

“And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
