Coming Before The King

“But when Esther came before the king…” Esther 9:25

The above phrase stirred my heart yesterday morning and, as we headed out early to drive back to NC, it stayed with me. When Esther came before the king, things happened! As believers, we can and should have confidence in coming before the KING of kings!

I won’t bore you with all the details but not long after we began our trek south yesterday, we realized we needed to have the pressure checked in one of our tires. At this point, we were on the turnpike with no place close to the exit.

“Girls, just pray”, I said.

When we finally reached an exit, we got off and went straight to a service station. As we pulled in, we spotted a man kneeling and screwing the little cap back on one of his tire valves. The rest of the scenario went something like this.

He got in his car.

I pulled in beside him, jumped out, and hurried over before he drove off.

He got back out of his car, checked, and filled (where necessary) all 4 of my tires.

We thanked him for his help and all of us were soon on our way.

“Girls, that was GOD! GOD had that man right there next to the tire pump to help us in our time of need.”

Friends, I tell you of this little incident to give praise to HIM for being such a personal God! Time and time again, the Lord has done things like this for us and I know He has for you as well! May each of us be reminded again this morning that there is nothing too big OR too small to ask of our Heavenly Father! He DELIGHTS in hearing and answering the prayers of His children.

“You are coming to a King

Large petitions with you bring

For His grace and power are such

None can ever ask too much”

~ John Newton ~

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”‭‭ Jeremiah‬ ‭33:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
