Just Rest

This picture (taken over 5 years ago at a “We Stand With God” rally) is a favorite for a couple of reasons.

Obviously, because it’s one of my GRANDboys. But also, because it wonderfully depicts a great spiritual truth!

Our Heavenly Father is so very understanding of our human weaknesses. God, Who “shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4) tells his weary children who just can’t stand any longer – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Aren’t you thankful for that today?

Just rest. It’s ok. God’s in control.
