Lefties Unite!

Anna informed me yesterday that today is OUR day!

I’m still trying to decide just how to celebrate this special day – even though Left-Hander’s Day was first recognized in 1976, I must admit I’ve never given it much thought.

Hmmm…we could go out and buy some new quick-dry pens – to help prevent those hand smudges when we write. Or, we could just spend the day writing from right to left – that would take care of it!

Or, here’s a great idea – we could turn that spiral notebook over so that the spiral is on the RIGHT side! No spirals digging into our hands today!

Statistics show that about 10% of the world’s population is left-handed. That makes us pretty special, don’t you think? They also say that left-handedness runs in families. Lefties in the British royal family include the Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William. Pretty impressive, aye?

Middle son, Joshua, is a leftie as well. I asked him to send me a left-handed pic…

Now, if that was a donut, that would be lefthandedness at its best!

Happy Left-Hander’s Day, all you lefties!

“Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss.” Judges 20:16
