God Is Faithful

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” I Corinthians 1:9

This morning, I am thinking on the first phrase of the above verse – “God is faithful”. It’s a phrase I’ve used often to encourage myself as well as others. A portion of Matthew Henry’s comments are as follows:

“He who hath brought us into near and dear relation to Christ, into sweet and intimate communion with Christ, is faithful; he may be trusted with our dearest concerns. Those that come at his call shall never be disappointed in their hopes in him. If we approve ourselves faithful to God, we shall never find him unfaithful to us. He will not suffer his faithfulness to fail.” ~ Matthew Henry

This morning, aren’t you thankful that we serve a God Who is FAITHFUL to His Word?

“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” I Thessalonians 5:24
