Vacation Pictures – Washington DC

After weeks and weeks of research, planning, changing plans, rethinking, more research, etc…we finally pin-pointed our road trip to a few choice destinations. Our first full day was spent seeing a few sites in DC. Out of our whole vacation, the place that made the biggest impact on the girls (and myself) was The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Arlington Cemetery. I had not been there since grade school and after telling the girls what I could remember, it made it to the top of our list of sites to see. We were able to witness the changing of the guard as well as the wreath ceremony. Below are some of the many pictures we took there as well as the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and World War II Memorial.
