Feeling Crafty

Thoughts of our family gathering soon for Christmas not only have us super excited but super busy with extra projects! This beautiful mid-December weather inspired me to head outside – with paint, of course! 🙂

Our first project – using leftover chalkboard paint to spruce up a little table for the GRANDS!

I’m pleased with how it turned out – I think they’ll like it!  🙂

I am SUPER EXCITED about this afternoon’s project!!  I’ve been wanting to do this for Christmas for several years but was having a hard time deciding how. For the longest time, all I could think of was some sort of wire sculpture letters (with lights wrapped around them). I even had an abundance of metal coat hangers to use!  🙂  The only thing that came from that idea was me realizing how hard it is to shape metal hangers into letters. 🙂

Just recently, I thought of using the wooden pallets in the barn (thanks to my Honskins) for my brainstorm. Today was the perfect day to paint, so paint we did!

JESUS – oh, how SWEET the name!!  He’s the reason for this season, folks!

The name of Jesus is so sweet,
I love its music to repeat;
It makes my joys full and complete,
The precious name of Jesus.

Jesus! oh, how sweet the name,
Jesus! every day the same;
Jesus! let all saints proclaim
Its worthy praise forever.
