Family Relations – Past, Present, Future

Concerning family relations, a couple of good guidelines…

Live to bring honor to the past –

“My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.” Proverbs 27:11

Live to bring blessings to the future –

“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.” Proverbs 20:7

No matter our age, we should strive to live each day with others in mind – the past generation and the future generation. Daily, take time to count the cost of our words and actions. Do they bring honor to the past? Will they bring blessing to the future? This is unselfish living. This is wise living. This is mature living. Each day, by our words, actions, and yes, even our attitudes, we are “planting seeds” that we will one day reap.

“O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!” Deuteronomy 32:29
