Tell It To Your Children!

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him: And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.” Exodus 10:1,2

Reading the above verses this morning reminded me of the following verses in Psalms…

“O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.” Psalm 71:17,18

If we have been saved even for a little while, we should have stories of how the Lord has answered prayers in our lives. As parents and grandparents, we must not neglect to tell of these wondrous works to our children…our grandchildren. Hearing of how God has worked in our lives is one way that their faith will be strengthened! Now more than ever, we NEED our children…our future…to be strong in their faith! Doing this will encourage them to set their hope in God!  Amen!

“Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:”  Psalm 78:1-7
