Sunday Thought

“And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.”  I Samuel 16:11

One thought from this evening’s message, “Before You Take The Throne” –

God is looking for faithfulness. If David could not be faithful tending Jesse’s sheep, how could he tend God’s sheep? If we can’t be faithful over another man’s work, WHY would God give us our own work?

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.  If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?”  Luke 16:10-12
