“Nena, do a song…”

We sure do enjoy having the GRANDbabies come and stay with us when they can!  After picking up Luke recently, as we drove off, one of the first things he said was,

“Nena, do a song.”

Not thinking too much about it, I leaned over to turn up the volume of the current cd playing – a men’s quartet – but, that was not what this lil’ buddy had in mind.

“Nena, do a different song.” was his immediate response.

At that point, both Aunt Anna and I knew exactly what he was asking for. Anna put the “different song” cd in and he was content…

Content, that is, until the first song ended –

“Nena, do again.”

“You want to hear that one again?…OK”, I said as I hit the back arrow.

The first song ends…

“Nena, do again”….while I’m reaching for the back arrow button.  Yes, we’ve been through this before. After a few more times, we made it past the first song, only to have to repeat several other favorites throughout the cd.

We are exhorted to hide God’s Word in our hearts and what better way to get a head start in the lives of our children and grandchildren than with music.  The Bible Truth Music “Bible Songs For Kids” series is all King James Scripture put to music. Do you know how it thrills my heart to hear our GRANDbabies singing –

“Behold, behold, I stand at the door and knock, knock, knock…” as they pretend to knock on a door.

Or this one –

“Romans 3:10…as it is written…there is none righteous….no not one….”

No, this isn’t an “advertisement” for Bible Truth Music, but I thank the Lord for the opportunities He gives to influence othersGRANDbabies included…and I am very thankful for the Biblically sound resources that are available!

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalm 119:11

Yes- I think it is great advertisement for Bible Truth Music- although not on purpose. What a heart warming story and something I do myself when I like a song. I am sorry to say that I didn’t get around to ordering the cd’s when they had their sale- I hope they do it again. I am so glad we have still have a place where we can order good music when we need too!
