From Mom’s Bible Reading
The girls and I are up in WV for a couple of days (the guys will join us this evening, Lord willing.) This morning, I asked Mom to jot down a few things from her Bible reading and I would share them with you. Below is what she gave me…I hope it is a blessing to someone. (I have capitalized any words that she underlined.)
“Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail…” Isaiah 34:16
“Say to them that are of a fearful heart, BE STRONG, fear not: …behold, your God will come…And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Isaiah 35:4,10
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not AFTER CHRIST. For IN HIM DWELLETH ALL the FULNESS of the GODHEAD BODILY.” Colossians 2:8,9
Colossians 3:1,2 is precious too! “If ye then be RISEN with Christ, SEEK those things which are above… Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
