Good-byes & God’s Grace

Well now, that wasn’t easy. I sure am very thankful, though, that the Lord allowed us to have Courtney and the GRANDbabies for a visit!  And, a BIG thank you to their hubby/daddy for letting them come…Christopher, you’re the best!

Even though good-byes are not easy, there is something that I have often said concerning our children – I would much rather them live away…even across the country and IN the will of God, than next door and out of His will. And, I mean that with all my heart!  “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (III John 4)  Yes, this Nanna misses those little faces very much but the time apart just makes our times together that much sweeter! And God’s grace is so sufficient when we are apart (thank the Lord for cell phones and Skype too!!)

I have lived away from family all my married life, and I have had my lonely times too! I remember one time, years ago when my Mom shared with me how she had been missing me, and then the Lord reminded her that the moon that she could see up in the sky that night was the very same moon that I could see as well. She told me that because of that simple truth, I didn’t seem as far away after all!  Now, isn’t that a sweet thought? God is very good!!
