This poem was a blessing to me this morning and a great reminder\u00a0– taken from “Streams in the Desert”<\/em><\/strong> and written by A. E. Finn.<\/p>\n

See God In Everything<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
\u201cGive me a new idea,\u201d I said,<\/div>\n
While musing on a sleepless bed;<\/div>\n
\u201cA new idea that\u2019ll bring to earth<\/div>\n
A balm for souls of priceless worth;<\/div>\n
That\u2019ll give men tho\u2019ts of things above,<\/div>\n
And teach them how to serve and love,<\/div>\n
That\u2019ll banish every selfish thought,<\/div>\n
And rid men of the sins they\u2019ve fought.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The new thot came, just how, I\u2019ll tell<\/div>\n
\u201cTwas when on bended knee I fell,<\/div>\n
And sought from Him who knows full well<\/div>\n
The way our sorrow to expel.<\/div>\n
SEE GOD IN ALL THINGS, great and small,<\/div>\n
And give Him praise whate\u2019er befall,<\/div>\n
In life or death, in pain or woe,<\/div>\n
SEE God and overcome thy foe.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I SAW HIM in the morning light<\/div>\n
HE made the day shine clear and bright;<\/div>\n
I saw HIM in the noontide hour,<\/div>\n
And gained from HIM refreshing shower.<\/div>\n
At eventide, when worn and sad,<\/div>\n
HE gave me help, and made me glad.<\/div>\n
At midnight, when on tossing bed<\/div>\n
My weary soul to sleep HE led.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I SAW HIM when great losses came,<\/div>\n
And found HE loved me just the same.<\/div>\n
When heavy loads I had to bear,<\/div>\n
I found HE lightened every care.<\/div>\n
By sickness, sorrow, sore distress,<\/div>\n
He calmed my mind and gave me rest.<\/div>\n
He\u2019s filled my heart with gladsome praise<\/div>\n
Since I gave HIM the upward gaze.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2018Twas new to me, yet old to some,<\/div>\n
This thought that to me has become<\/div>\n
A revelation of the way<\/div>\n
We all should live throughout the day;<\/div>\n
For as each day unfolds its light,<\/div>\n
We\u2019ll walk by faith and not by sight,<\/div>\n
Life will, indeed, a blessing bring<\/div>\n
