Then, my Bible reading included Psalm 42:8&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>&#8220;Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(How very thankful I am for those times that God gives me a song in the night!)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This morning, as&nbsp;we read the lyrics below, what does Christ mean to us? Is&nbsp;He really our life and breath? The first verse of Psalm&nbsp;42 says, <em><strong>&#8220;As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>Do we really pant after God as a thirsty deer would pant&nbsp;for water? As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus here in a few days, what is He to us? Is He just a sweet little Babe in a manger, or is He our Saviour? &#8230;our Comforter? &#8230;our Guide? &#8230;our Deliverer? &#8230;our Teacher? &#8230;our Strength? &#8230;our Refuge? &#8230;our Sustenance? &#8230;our Healer? &#8230;our Counsellor? &#8230;our Peace? &#8230;etc. Is December 25th the only time we acknowledge Him?&#8230;or is He really our life and breath&#8230;the One on Whom our life depends? If someone would ask us today what Christ means to us, what could we honestly say?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>~~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>More Than You&#8217;ll Ever Know<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If I could find the right words to say<br \/>\nTo tell you just what Christ means to me<br \/>\nI&#8217;d say He is more than I could show<br \/>\nAnd more than you&#8217;ll ever know<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Christ means more to me than you&#8217;ll ever know<br \/>\nChrist means more to me than I could possibly show<br \/>\nMore, more, so much more, He&#8217;s more than you&#8217;ll ever know<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If you could have seen me&nbsp;before He saved me<br \/>\nYou&#8217;d know why He&#8217;s life and He&#8217;s breath to me<br \/>\nYou&#8217;d know why He&#8217;s more than I could show<br \/>\nAnd more than you&#8217;ll ever know<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Christ means more to me than you&#8217;ll ever know<br \/>\nChrist means more to me than I could possibly show<br \/>\nMore, more, so much more, He&#8217;s more than you&#8217;ll ever know<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">(Phil Johnson)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lord woke me up this morning with the following song running through my mind.
