Have you ever felt like a “favorite child”? I am often amazed at how the God of the universe can be such a personal God to His children – maybe even to the point of making us feel especially loved…you know…like Daddy’s favorite?\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42 Such was the case this morning. No, it wasn’t the first time the Lord has done this for me – but it was a time when His extra attention on me was very welcomed.<\/p>\n

We have a lil buddy spending the weekend with us and because of this, the girls found themselves “camping out” in the living room – an expected treat for the GRANDS. This morning, my “quiet time” spot ended up being in the girls’ room. As I went to put my things down, I glanced up on the wall behind the chair and read the sign below. It was a good reminder for me…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As I began my Bible reading, the place I left off yesterday “just happened to be” in II Chronicles. Below is a portion of what I read today…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

By this time, I’m smiling as I thanked the Lord for the DOUBLE reminder He had just given. Oh, it’s a verse that has often encouraged me…but this morning it was as if the Lord said, “Sit up and pay attention – I’ve got this.”<\/p>\n

Then, as I read the devotional for today in Streams in the Desert<\/strong>, the entire reading was an encouragement and challenge to me – that I not be\u00a0responsible for\u00a0limiting God’s blessings in my life.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

However…as I turned the page, my eyes fell on a particular verse – a verse that just happens to be “MY VERSE”<\/strong>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ahhh….what a loving, personal God we serve!!\u00a0 Lord, thank you for the double reminder this morning – my battles are actually not my battles but yours. And,\u00a0\u00a0thank you for using “my verse” to remind me that You are indeed able!!!\u00a0 Amen!!<\/p>\n

(You’ll have to excuse me but I’m feeling\u00a0a little\u00a0“pampered” right now.)<\/em><\/p>\n

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,\u00a0Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
