This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD:&#8221; Numbers 26:9<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This morning, the above verse reminded me of yesterday&#8217;s post\u00a0&#8211; &#8220;Our Reputation&#8221;. Dathan and Abiram were famous\u00a0among the Israelites&#8230;but&#8230;the reason for their fame was certainly\u00a0not one that I would desire.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although, as Christians, our goal in life should not be fame, we should always consider it as a possibility.\u00a0At any moment, God may choose to make our name known to others. Because of this,\u00a0we should always consider each and every choice we make:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;Is this what I desire to be known as?&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By making this choice, will my name be associated with &#8220;wise&#8221; or &#8220;foolish&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>By reacting in this manner, will my name be associated with &#8220;prayer warrior&#8221; or &#8220;worrier&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, the girls and I talked about the following verse in Proverbs:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>&#8220;Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.&#8221; Proverbs 25:19\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By\u00a0doing this, will I be remembered as &#8220;faithful&#8221; or &#8220;unreliable&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And the list could go on and on. This morning, if\u00a0God would choose to make our\u00a0name known among others, for what would we be famous? Ahh&#8230;may\u00a0our continual desire be that our lives bring honor and glory to God!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,&#8221; Ephesians 5:15\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>&#8220;A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.&#8221; Proverbs 22:1<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram.
