A couple weeks ago, the girls showed me the devotional for that morning (from their “Streams in the Desert”<\/strong> book). When I read it, I was reminded of a song that has been an encouragement to my heart – you know, one of those songs where you hit the back button to play again…and again…and again…\u00a0\ud83d\ude42 \u00a0I believe I posted the lyrics awhile back, but thought I would share them again\u00a0with the following devotional. I hope\u00a0it will be a blessing to someone\u00a0this evening!<\/p>\n

I KNOW HE HEARD MY PRAYER<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The clouds have passed away, I see the light of day,<\/div>\n
The sun is shining thru, dispelling gloom with hallelujahs;<\/div>\n
I know that this is real, for in my heart I feel<\/div>\n
that my Saviour heard my earnest prayer.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Chorus<\/strong><\/div>\n
I know He heard my prayer,<\/div>\n
He knows my every care,\u2026<\/div>\n
He gives to me the blessed victory,<\/div>\n
Oh yes ! I feel Him now,<\/div>\n
My loyalty I vow,<\/div>\n
I know the Saviour heard my plea.<\/div>\n

The Lord has heard my prayer, great joy is now my share,<\/div>\n
Sweet heaven fills my soul, now I can go rejoicing on;<\/div>\n

for He heard my prayer, my earnest prayer.<\/div>\n

When in the future days, the fiery trials blaze,<\/div>\n
When Satan comes to me to take away my victory,<\/div>\n
I can point him to the time when Heaven\u2019s light did shine,<\/div>\n
I can say He heard my earnest prayer.<\/div>\n

The enemy had said that my faith in God was dead,<\/div>\n
If the way was rough, He did not care,<\/div>\n
Thank God it is not true, Jesus thrills me thru and thru.<\/div>\n
I know he heard my prayer, my earnest prayer.<\/div>\n
