I mean, they were parked right at the entrance&#8230;apparently to attract attention as well as impress customers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3661\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg?resize=600%2C450\" alt=\"walmartfoodlion buggies\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg?resize=400%2C300&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg?w=1920 1920w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/walmartfoodlion-buggies.jpg?w=2880 2880w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I must admit, I just stood there for a moment&#8230;read it closely&#8230;even double checked my math before turning to the girls and asking, &#8220;Are we supposed to be impressed?&#8221;\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 I know&#8230;I know &#8211; &#8220;a penny saved is\u00a0a penny earned&#8221; and I am definitely a firm believer in being a wise steward&#8230;but&#8230;a 54 cent savings on a buggy of groceries?\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 Was this the best incentive they could give for driving across town?\u00a0 I found myself feeling a little embarrassed for the store and as I walked off chuckling to myself, I looked back to see Bethany taking a picture. Apparently, she found it a little amusing as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thinking on that again this morning reminded me of the attitude of so many professing Christians. Instead of looking to a holy God and His Word\u00a0as their guide for living, their main goal is to be just a little bit &#8220;better&#8221; than the world&#8230;just a little bit different &#8211; enough to ease their conscience while still enjoying their old lifestyle. And, while they &#8220;park their buggy&#8221; next to a lost person, they are quite impressed with their 54-cent difference. The world, on the other hand, is crying out, &#8220;REALLY?&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Is that all you have to offer me?&#8221;\u00a0 &#8220;Is that all that your God can do for you?&#8221;\u00a0&#8220;Is it really worth coming to church with you to hear more about Him?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If we aren&#8217;t careful, any of us at any time can fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to others. Even comparing ourselves to other Christians is not wise. <strong><em>&#8220;For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.&#8221;\u00a0 II Corinthians 10:12\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>Comparing ourselves to others will lead to self-satisfaction of our spiritual condition. This, of course, will cause us to stop growing. If we are not growing, we are dying.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">How do we avoid this danger? Keep our eyes on the Lord! Make CHRIST-LIKENESS our goal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">O to be like Thee! bless\u00e8d Redeemer,<br \/>\nThis is my constant longing and prayer;<br \/>\nGladly I\u2019ll forfeit all of earth\u2019s treasures,<br \/>\nJesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>O to be like Thee! O to be like Thee,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Bless\u00e8d Redeemer, pure as Thou art;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">O to be like Thee! full of compassion,<br \/>\nLoving, forgiving, tender and kind,<br \/>\nHelping the helpless, cheering the fainting,<br \/>\nSeeking the wandering sinner to find.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>O to be like Thee!
