{"id":320,"date":"2014-04-21T13:04:01","date_gmt":"2014-04-21T17:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/?p=320"},"modified":"2015-02-21T17:53:28","modified_gmt":"2015-02-21T22:53:28","slug":"if-we-were-a-bible-character-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.inthineheart.com\/staging\/8143\/2014\/04\/21\/if-we-were-a-bible-character-job\/","title":{"rendered":"If We Were a Bible Character &#8211; Job"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If we were a Bible character; our life, men had read.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">From the pages of Scripture, just what would be said?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If God were writing our profile today,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">To record in His Word; just what would it say?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><i>\u201cThere was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was <span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">perfect <\/span>and <span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">upright<\/span>, and one that <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">feared God<\/span><\/span>, and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\">eschewed evil<\/span><\/span>.\u201d Job 1:1<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What wonderful words to be said of a man\u2026indeed, Job had a good name with God! We don\u2019t have to read very far to see this same man suffer probably the greatest losses (at least in the short amount of time) among men. To some, the thought of this very Godly man experiencing such extreme trials could be quite discouraging. Why Job? He <strong>LOVED<\/strong> God. He <strong>FEARED<\/strong> God. He <strong>SHUNNED<\/strong> evil. Why him?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The more we read God\u2019s Word, the more we will realize how often the Lord allows some of His choicest servants to go through the darkest of valleys. Think of Joseph, of Daniel, of Jeremiah\u2026just to name a few. Throughout this book, we see Job\u2019s TRUST in God\u2026but also his humanness even to the point of wishing he had never been born. (Aren\u2019t we so thankful that God does not give us EVERY thing for which we ask?)<b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The story of Job is a perfect reminder that trials come to all. And, as strange as it may seem, the Bible tells us that not only should we expect trials but we should welcome them!<b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>\u201cWherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:\u201d I Peter 1:6,7<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As we see in Job 42, in every trial God may allow in our life, there will be a first chapter as well as a last chapter. Yes, the last chapter&#8230;<strong>the morning<\/strong>&#8230;does eventually come once again! But,\u00a0during those middle chapters of our trial, may we, by God\u2019s grace, be able to say with Job,<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThough he slay me, yet will I trust in him\u2026\u201d\u00a0 Job 13:15<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #c0c0c0;\"><strong>~ Rachel ~<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If we were a Bible character; our life, men had read.
