Happy Mother’s Day!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am very thankful for my mother, and the godly influence she has had on my life and the lives of all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and families…as well as many others. I thank the Lord for giving us another year with Mom, and Lord willing, we hope to have her down here in NC in just a few weeks! We’re looking forward to that!<\/p>\n

And, I thank God for these six that call me Mom. He truly gave me the desires of my heart by allowing me to be “just a wife and mother”.<\/p>\n

Finally, I thank the Lord for other godly mothers – both young and old – who have made a positive impact on my life as well as the lives of my daughters.<\/p>\n

Our pastor preached this morning on “The Impact of a Godly Mother” and one question he asked was, “When we die, what will those closest to us remember about us?”  As mothers, may our heart’s desire be to live in such a way that when we do die, there would be no question in our loved ones minds. May they be able to say, “Her faith in God was REAL!”<\/p>\n

“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith<\/span> that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.” II Timothy 1:5<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
