Happy Birthday to us! We are one-year-old now, here at In Thine Heart<\/span>!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading in Joshua this morning was a good reminder of God’s faithfulness to us this past year.<\/p>\n

“There failed not<\/span> ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass<\/span>.”\u00a0 Joshua 21:45<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

God is a promise-keeper! What He promises, He will bring to pass in HIS perfect timing. Just a few chapters earlier, we read a good example of this in the life of Caleb:<\/p>\n

“Forty years old was I<\/span> when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.<\/strong><\/em>
\nNevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nAnd Moses sware on that day,<\/span> saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.”\u00a0 Joshua 14:7-9<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

At 40 years of age, Caleb was promised Hebron, as an inheritance for wholly following God. But, it was 45 years later before Caleb received that inheritance:<\/p>\n

“And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.” Joshua 14:10<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

At 85 years of age, Caleb is now receiving his inheritance promised to him by God. But, the exciting thing about this story is, not only did God keep His promise, He preserved Caleb’s strength all those years!<\/p>\n

“As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now<\/span>…Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day”\u00a0 Joshua 14:11,12<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

What a wonderful, FAITHFUL<\/strong> God we serve!\u00a0 Let’s just keep following Him!<\/p>\n

“And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.<\/strong><\/em>
\nHebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.”\u00a0 Joshua 14:13,14<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
