The following is an excerpt\u00a0from Mrs. Terrie Chappell’s book,<\/strong> “It’s a Wonderful Life”<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0from the chapter titled\u00a0\u00a0“Praying For Your Husband”. It was shared at\u00a0our ladies meeting last week – I thought I would share it today…<\/p>\n

You can pray for your husband in a variety of ways. How you pray for him, however, is not as important as consistently and frequently lifting Him up before the Lord<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Pray for your husband’s specific needs. The following list may help as you develop a greater and more detailed prayer life for your husband. Pray:<\/p>\n

That he will be Spirit-filled<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will have a strong walk with the Lord<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will have a productive day<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will bless his appointments<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will be able to handle the stress of the day<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will give him wisdom in counseling<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he would have a sense of fulfillment<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he would have sufficient study time<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will strengthen him in his burdens<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will protect him from temptation<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will give protection from anyone\u00a0 wanting to hurt him<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will protect his reputation<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will be healthy – keep him well<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will heal him if he is sick<\/strong><\/p>\n

For his responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

For his priorities<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will be a good leader<\/strong><\/p>\n

For those that he leads<\/strong><\/p>\n

For his role as a father<\/strong><\/p>\n

For safety as he travels<\/strong><\/p>\n

For refreshment as he travels<\/strong><\/p>\n

For no delays as he travels<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will make him strong where he is weak<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will give him the courage to make right choices<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will be encouraged<\/strong><\/p>\n

For his vision<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will direct his path<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will be fruitful<\/strong><\/p>\n

For his friends<\/strong><\/p>\n

For safety from any danger<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he would maintain balance in all his roles<\/strong><\/p>\n

For sermons he is preparing<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will safeguard his heart<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will continue to love righteousness and hate wickedness<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will have self-control<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will have peace and joy<\/strong><\/p>\n

That God will give him wisdom in disciplining the children<\/strong><\/p>\n

That he will recognize the lies of the enemy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Obviously, some of these are ministry related, but the majority of the list can certainly be applied to any Christian wife who desires to lift their husband up to the Lord in prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n
