Apparently, King Baasha\u00a0did not consider\u00a0where he came from and just <strong>Who<\/strong> was responsible for his success. Because of his evil reign, he had caused the people to turn from God:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><i>\u201c\u2026thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins\u201d I Kings 16:2<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">How very sad that the king&#8217;s failure to acknowledge\u00a0God for his success\u00a0had\u00a0caused others to sin and would also lead to the destruction of\u00a0his own\u00a0family:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><i>\u201cBehold, I will take away the posterity of Baasha, and the posterity of his house\u2026\u201d\u00a0 I Kings 16:3<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">No matter how successful God may allow us to become, we should always remember Who is responsible for our success.
