\u201cProfessing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man<\/span>…\u201d Romans 1:22,23<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Before we know it, Christmas will be upon us and that has become more of a reality as the girls and I have been sifting through Christmas carols the last few days. This morning, as I read in Romans 1, I couldn\u2019t help but think of a popular children\u2019s song during this time of celebrating Christ\u2019s birth. The chorus goes like this:<\/p>\n

He sees you when you\u2019re sleeping<\/strong><\/p>\n

He knows when you\u2019re awake<\/strong><\/p>\n

He knows if you\u2019ve been bad or good<\/strong><\/p>\n

So be good for goodness sake!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The above chorus indicates that a corruptible man \u2013 Santa Claus \u2013 is all-knowing, but my Bible says that only God is omniscient.  As Christians, should we not be offended at a person \u2013 make believe or not \u2013 who claims to possess an attribute that only belongs to a Holy God? <\/i><\/p>\n

Santa Claus sees us when we are sleeping?? Santa Claus knows when we are awake??<\/p>\n

No.<\/p>\n

But God does. <\/i><\/p>\n

“Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.\u201d  Psalm 139:23<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Santa Claus knows if we\u2019ve been bad or good??<\/p>\n

No.<\/p>\n

But God does.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.\u201d Proverbs 15:3<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFor his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.\u201d Job 34:21<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cO God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.\u201d  Psalm 69:5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe there are some who have never thought about the above topic in this way. I admit there was a time when our older children were young and we didn\u2019t. And, I realize that this is most likely not going to be a popular post, but that\u2019s OK.  I do believe, as Christians, we should be more concerned about what God thinks. Just some food for thought on this beautiful FALL Friday!<\/p>\n
