Proverbs 22:28- \u201cRemove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.\u201d<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

At the Sword Conference this year, Bro. Gary Randall preached a message from this verse titled \u201cDon\u2019t Touch Those Ancient Landmarks!\u201d It was a sober reminder for us not<\/strong> to be changing and compromising the ways that our forefathers of the faith fought for. He also made a statement that really stood out to me and  went something like this,<\/p>\n

\u201cThings get MOVED before they get REMOVED.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

If we\u2019re not careful, we will let standards slip before, eventually, doing away with them altogether!  We seem to have formed this mindset that, \u201cif we stay a certain distance from the world then we\u2019re OK\u201d and in the meanwhile we are REMOVING standards left and right! Our Pastor has made a statement like this, \u201cIf it was wrong 20 years ago…it\u2019s still wrong! If it was sin 50 years ago, it\u2019s still sin!\u201d That\u2019s common sense, is it not? We need Christians that will purpose in their hearts that they will not compromise, but will rather stay in the old paths!<\/p>\n

“Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.”  Jeremiah 6:16<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
