At one point, the discussion was Jonah and his attitude toward the people of Nineveh. Simply put, Jonah was mad at God for showing mercy to the Ninevites and giving them opportunity to repent. Why was Jonah upset? Because the Ninevites were enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s a thought that immediately came to my mind:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need to be careful with our attitude toward those who have wronged us &#8211; no matter how deep the hurt may be. To my knowledge, after the book of Jonah ends, this prophet is never heard of again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I certainly wouldn\u2019t want God to put me up on a shelf &#8211; never to be used again &#8211; all because of a wrong attitude toward enemies. If our heart\u2019s desire is to do right, God promises that His grace will be sufficient.
