A Wise Servant?

“The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.” Proverbs 14:35

When reading this verse recently, I compared it to the King of Kings, Christ Jesus, and us as His servants. This made me consider which category I would fall under – the wise servant or the one who causes only shame. As saved people, we are one or the other; there is no “in between”. The Lord is today looking upon us with either favor or with wrath! Only we, as individuals, can determine which it will be. Will we be a wise servant or will we bring shame and dishonor to our Saviour’s name? I hope we desire to be that wise servant! By God’s grace, let us go “all out” for Him as we desire to please none other than our Lord and Saviour Who is the King of Kings!!
