David says here that he delights in God&#8217;s Word. What does delight mean? Delight means &#8220;A high degree of pleasure, or satisfaction of mind; joy.&#8221; That&#8217;s a pretty strong feeling, wouldn&#8217;t you think? There are two different ways young people read their Bible. Some read their Bible as a mere duty&#8230;it becomes a day-to-day ritual&#8230;while others &#8220;delight&#8221; in reading their Bible.&nbsp;Some just skip right throught their Bible reading&#8230;reading only words&#8230;while others&nbsp;<strong>can&#8217;t wait<\/strong> to read their Bible each day and see what God has for them! I wonder which category we would fall in to?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let&#8217;s look at the second word in this verse that David mentions &#8211;&nbsp;&#8220;counsellers&#8221;. What does that mean <em><strong>&#8220;Thy testimonies are&#8230;my counsellers&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>? This means, when David needed advice or instruction, he went straight to God&#8217;s Word. So often, when&nbsp;young people&nbsp;have to make a decision, they will first figure out how <strong>they<\/strong> want to do it,&nbsp;then they will go around asking counsel (since it&#8217;s the &#8220;right thing to do&#8221;). They&#8217;ve already decided how <strong>they<\/strong> want to make that decision, so when they go to &nbsp;&#8220;receive counsel&#8221; &nbsp;their mind is closed to&nbsp;the person&#8217;s advice&nbsp;if it&#8217;s contrary to what <strong>they&#8217;ve<\/strong> already decided.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If&nbsp;we ever have to go ask for advice&#8230;which&nbsp;we will&#8230;let&#8217;s be sure, first of all, that we always&nbsp;seek <strong>Godly<\/strong> counsel but also make sure&nbsp;we are opened to what&nbsp;our Godly advisors&nbsp;will say whether or not that&#8217;s what&nbsp;we want to hear.
