Grace,  Salvation

Enchanted But Unchanged

The following devotional, from Daily Thoughts for Disciples by Oswald Chambers, burdened my heart this morning. Individuals who profess to be saved yet have never had a desire whatsoever to read the Bible, hear God’s Word preached, be among God’s people, etc. are greatly deceived. Just as a newborn baby hungers for milk, so a person who has been born again by repentance and faith in Christ will hunger for the “milk of the Word”.

However, just because a person does attend church faithfully does not mean that individual is saved. Just because a person may even delight in hearing God’s Word preached does not guarantee salvation.

I am struggling with knowing what else to say in this post. I pray that those who read this will do so with a receptive heart…

“And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭33:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬
