I Am For You

“For, behold, I am for you…” Ezekiel 36:9

What a blessing to KNOW that God is for us! When I read the above verse this morning, I immediately thought of the following verse in Romans…

“…If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

This morning, is it our desire to KNOW that GOD is for us? The first step toward knowing is to acknowledge that we are a sinner in need of a Saviour, repent and, by faith, accept Christ as our Saviour. Can you look back to a specific time in your life when you have done this?

And then, after salvation, our desire should be to live a life pleasing to the Lord. Are we living our lives in obedience to God’s Word? Or, are there areas of our lives in which we refuse to give God full control? In chapter two of the book of Revelation, God had much good to say of the church of Ephesus, however, in verse four He states,

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.” Revelation 2:4

Does something come to our mind this morning…an area in which the Lord has been dealing with us? Do we really want to continue living in disobedience and thus forfeit His favor?

The Christian life is not a playground but rather a battlefield. As soldiers of the cross, how very important to have CONFIDENCE in our prayer lives! How crucial to strive to live our lives in accordance to God’s Word and therefore have CONFIDENCE that God is FOR us!

“Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” I John 3:21,22

This morning, can we say – “God is for me”?

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” Psalm 118:6
