Happy Father’s Day!!

I thank the Lord for my godly Daddy, who has been in heaven for 27 years now. I am thankful for the Daddy of our children…what a loving and faithful father he has been all these years!

Whether our dads have passed away or are still living, we can and should honour them by our own lives. In instances where the dad is still living and not saved, children can choose to live a life that would not bring shame to their name…and that father could be won to Christ just by the godly testimony of a son or daughter. Even in very difficult circumstances, our Heavenly Father’s grace is sufficient to provide strength needed to forgive and love as well as the determination to honour.  I promise, it is a decision that will bring God’s blessings as well as no regrets!

If you are not saved, let this Father’s Day be the day that you receive Christ as your personal Saviour. Then, if you are not already doing so, let this Father’s Day also be the beginning of a life that desires to bring honour to your heavenly Father – “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11

…as well as your earthly father. – “My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.” Proverbs 27:11
